COURT HOUSE – The NJ Tree Foundation, in partnership with the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee and the US Forest Service, is giving away 200 trees to residents of Cape may County on a first come-first served basis. The Middle Township Environmental Commission is hosting this Super Community Tree Giveaway. The trees will be available for pick up during the township’s Harvest Festival on Oct. 26, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 33 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Available species are Red Maple and Flowering Dogwood. Cape May County residents must fill out a simple application at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XVDM3B3 to receive a tree. Application deadline is 10/24/2013 or until all trees are gone. Limit of one tree per household.
Each tree is 2-3’ tall in a 1- gallon pot and will easily fit into a car. Tree planting and care instructions will be provided at pickup.
