CAPE MAY- In compliance with a longstanding, mutual agreement with the Borough of West Cape May, the City of Cape May has now completed in a timely manner a data-based study of water volume billed by the Cape May to West Cape May and the relationship of flows through the master meters at Wilbraham Park and Canning House Lane.
This study was conducted by Kevin J. Dixon, PE, PP, CME of Dixon Associates, and the printed report has just been finalized in Oct. 2013 as scheduled. In his report, Mr. Dixon addresses the following requisite factors: 1) the background of this important issue; 2) the content of the Edens Report previously commissioned and released on this topic by the Borough of West Cape May; 3) the voluntary installation of new master meters at Wilbraham Park and Canning House Lane by the City of Cape May; 4) low flow conditions at these two master meters to which the Edens Report attributed the loss; 5) West Cape May water users; and 6) his conclusions resulting from his study.
Therefore, the City of Cape May will convene a news media conference on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium, 643 Washington Street, Cape May. City officials will join Mr. Dixon who will overview the identification of critical factors in this study, his methodology, the data collected and analyzed, and the findings of this study.
At the conclusion of the City’s presentation, an opportunity for questions from the news media will be provided. Copies of this study will be released to the public and the media for the first time at this conference. No copies of the report will be released prior to the conference.
