CAPE MAY – New Jersey Audubon needs just a few more properties to participate and all of Cape Island will achieve the unique distinction of being designated a certified wildlife habitat. Just imagine the entire island! Its not a hard as you might think, it only requires the combination of four basic elements:
• Food: Does your property feature native plants that provide wildlife with nectar, seed and berries?
• Water: Does your property have a water source?
• Cover: Does your property provide adequate shelter from bad weather and hiding places?
• A Home: Does your property provide suitable habitat for the bearing and raising of young?
Your property probably qualifies right now! Visit: www.nwf.org/wildlifegardening to get an application or email: Gretchen.whitman@njaudubon.org or call: 609-898-8848 with your questions.
Remember, “Cape May is a top U.S. destination for migrating hawks, seabirds, shorebirds, songbirds, butterflies and dragonflies. We need your backyard habitat as a place for these creatures, and others to find food, water, shelter and a place to raise their young.”
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
