ERMA – Teenagers and TV are not usually thought of as a particularly healthy combination. Twelve students at Lower Cape May Regional High School have proven that this is not always the case.
On May 23, officials of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office met with the TV Media Class of teacher Gina Bronson to thank her and the students for their work to create and produce a drug awareness video.
That clip was broadcast on local access Channel 9 and the County Prosecutor’s Office website. The video was based on a poem written by student Hannah Avery. It addressed the impact of drugs on her community.
The students contacted Lt. Joseph Landis and Detective Danielle Mitchell of the County Prosecutor’s Office. They agreed to participate in a short talk show produced and filmed at the high school.
The students were congratulated by Superintendent Christopher Kobik, Principal Lawrence Ziemba, and Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor.
Taylor presented the class and the school with awards for their ingenuity, persistence, and dedication to making Cape May County a safer place to live.
