School Aid Drop Brings Meeting with Senator

COURT HOUSE – Representatives from school districts around the region, including several from Cape May County, met with Sen. Jeff Van Drew (D-1st) Aug. 2 to discuss decreases in school funding as a result of a new state aid formula to K-12 schools passed in the state Legislature in July, The Press of Atlantic City reports.    
Van Drew said they didn’t have the votes in the Legislature to get the funding changed, but they have to try.
