Dennis Township School Board Hires Speirs as Chief School Administrator

 DENNISVILLE – The Dennis Township Board of Education announced that after a thorough, wide-ranging search process facilitated through the New Jersey School Board’s Association, the board approved Susan Speirs as chief school administrator  May 2.
In a release, the board thanked all of the stakeholders for their input in this process.
Stakeholders encouraged the board to seek a candidate with a strong educational background and direct classroom experience, who is empathetic, energetic, and enthusiastic about the unique District and community.  
The board believes Speirs exemplifies all of the characteristics outlined by the stakeholders during this process.
The board welcomed Speirs to the Dennis Township school community with an informal meet-and-greet after the May 2 board meeting.
Speirs stated, “I am excited to accept the position as chief school administrator.  I look forward to getting to  know the students and families of Dennis Township. I had the pleasure of meeting the Board of Education, administration and many staff members.  Their strong passion for education and sincere dedication to students was quite clear.   Together we will create optimal learning opportunities for our children.”  
Speirs is set to assume the role of chief school administrator July 1, 2019.
