COURT HOUSE — Since 2009, New Jersey Schools Insurance Group (NJSIG) has been awarding their seven funds throughout the state millions of dollars in Safety Grants. In keeping with its mission to minimize exposure to risk and stabilize insurance costs for New Jersey public schools, NJSIG established a public school safety grant program in 2009 and has continued to award safety grants over the past six years. The grant program promotes proactive risk management and provides funding to districts so that they can invest in safety-related projects and improvements. NJSIG has awarded $21,075,335 to their members since the inception of the program.
NJSIG is pleased to announce that since 2009, their fund, Cape May Atlantic Insurance Pool (CAIP), administered by Joseph Meola, of J. Byrne Agency of Wildwood, has been awarded $767,859 which has been divided between the 20+ member districts involved in the program.
This year, NJSIG will be awarding $2.2 million to their member districts throughout the state. CAIP is expected to receive $228,670 this year, which will again be appropriately divided between the 20+ districts involved in the program.

Established in 1983, NJSIG is the only statewide, member-owned joint insurance fund for school districts. J.
