Easter Sunday Sees Another 168 COVID-19 State Deaths

COURT HOUSE-APRIL 12: On Easter Sunday, the state announced that 168 New Jersey residents lost their battle with COVID-19. The state’s death toll now stands at 2,350.
With the reporting of 3,733 new cases in the previous 24 hours, the total of confirmed cases in the state rose to 61,850.
The state report listed 145 cases and nine deaths in Cape May County. The most recent county report agreed with the 145 cases but listed only seven county deaths.
The New Jersey hospital census shows 7,604 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 infection. Of those over a quarter of the patients, 1,914 individuals according to the state website are in need of critical or intensive care.  Across the state, 1,644 ventilators are in use helping patients stricken with the virus.
