Earth Day Logo contest open

The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders is sponsoring the 2009 Earth Day Logo Contest as part of the County’s Earth Day Celebration, which will take place at the Cape May County Park on Saturday, April 25.
The theme for the logo contest, open to Cape May County students, is “Reduce Your Ecological Footprint.”
Students are asked to create an Earth Day Logo to be silk-screened on tee shirts that will be given out at the 5-K run kicking off the Earth Day event. A one-mile Earth Walk will also be held along with live entertainment, educational stations, crafts, food and more.
The logo is to be hand drawn, black and white artwork incorporating the theme: “Reduce Your Ecological Footprint” submitted on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. Each submission must include the name, address, telephone number and name of school on the back. The deadline for submissions is March 31.
Awards will be announced and presented to the winners at the Freeholders’ meeting on Tuesday, April 7, at 4:30 p.m. at the County Administration Building.
