By Camille Sailer

DENNISVILLE – Dennis Committee, the municipal governing body, passed Ordinance 2022-09 on second reading with no public comment to better regulate vacant, abandoned and nuisance properties in the municipality.
These nuisance properties although few in number have been resident’s bane  for drawing attention to their lack of repairs and safety/security concerns. The ordinance text defines properties as having overgrown vegetation, accumulation of mail, disconnected services, statements of neighbors regarding maintenance problems, and for properties that present a health and safety risk.
