Delaware Memorial Bridge Toll Rates Increase on July 1

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – On July 1, 2011 at 12:00 midnight, tolls will increase for all vehicle classifications using the Delaware Memorial Bridge. At 11:55 p.m., southbound traffic into Delaware may experience a minor delay as the new toll rates are programmed and uploaded into the toll collection system. The new toll schedule, which is expected to generate about $22 million in additional revenue to fund the agency’s Capital Improvement Program, sets the rate for passenger cars and small trucks at $4.00 and commercial vehicles at $5.00 per axle. The Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) Commission approved a new Delaware Memorial Bridge toll schedule at its May 17, 2011 Board Meeting.
