ERMA – A Port Norris couple died in a three-vehicle crash in the area of Seashore Road and Earl Drive July 9 about 5:30 p.m.
According to a release, Lower Township Police Department responded and found a black sports utility vehicle operated by Daniel W. Cluff, 76, of Cold Spring was traveling south on Seashore Road.
Cluff crossed the center line and struck a northbound motorcycle that was operated by Dominick Cione, 54. As a result of the impact, Cione and his wife, Carol Cione, 50, were ejected from the motorcycle.
Both were transported to Cape Regional Medical Center and were pronounced deceased.
A second motorcyclist, Thomas Kendorski, 46, who was riding alongside the Ciones, was able to avoid the collision and suffered minor injuries. Cluff was uninjured.
The investigation was ongoing July 10. Anyone who witnessed this collision is encouraged to contact the Lower Township Police Department.
