Woodbine Station Troopers Investigate Alleged Child Luring Incident

By Press Release

WOODBINE- Troopers from the New Jersey State Police Woodbine Station initiated an investigation into an alleged child luring incident on Perry Road in Upper Township on Oct. 16. A preliminary investigation indicates that on Tuesday, Oct. 16, a seven-year-old Upper Township Elementary School student exited her school bus at Jonathan Landing at Perry Road and began to walk to her residence when a large white sport utility-type vehicle drove past her and yelled “get [expletive] over here you person”, but did not stop. This incident was not reported to the State Police at that time.
On Oct. 17, the student reported that the same vehicle drove past her again on Perry Road and that the driver reached his arm out the window in what appeared to be an attempt to grab her and stated “get [expletive] over here you person”, but continued driving away. The driver was described as a dark-skinned male with a low toned voice. The vehicle was described as a large white sport utility, unknown make or model, with a partial license plate number of LUZ. It is unknown if this is a New Jersey license plate. The investigation into this incident continues.
Anyone with information related to this incident or similar incidents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 or the New Jersey State Police directly at the Woodbine Station (609) 861-5698.
