WOODBINE – The following are the arrests made by the Woodbine State Police Station and their activities from April 15-May 24, 2016.
Arrests: The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
Jason Scipione, 28, from Beesley’s Point was charged April 15 with criminal mischief for admittedly punching a hole in the wall in his residence after engaging in an argument with his mother. He was reported to be intoxicated which attributed to his behavior. He was processed and released.
Steven Turchi, 21, from Woodbine was charged April 15 with possession of heroin and hypodermic syringe during an investigation in Upper Township. He was processed and released.
Shadera Gibbs, 20, from Woodbine was charged April 16 with theft for using her aunt’s debit card without authorization in the amount of approximately $1,100. She was processed and released.
Timothy Bateman Jr., 31, from Philadelphia, Pa. was charged April 16 with obstruction of justice for failing to provide his credentials during a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. He became belligerent and was placed under arrest, taken to the station, processed and released.
Jahmeek Mitchell, 22, from Court House was charged April 16 with possession of marijuana while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. He was processed and released.
Joshua Lippincott, 21, from Milford, Tyler Balliet, 21, from Frenchtown, and Cannon Wagner, 19, from Phillipsburg were all charged April 16 with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia during the course of a motor vehicle accident in Upper Township. They were arrested, processed and released.
Ira Smith, 32, from Woodbine was charged April 17 with possession of marijuana and DWI during the course of a motor vehicle accident in Dennis Township. He was arrested, processed and released.
Joan Creamer, 62, from Belleplain, and Ronald Gheysens Jr., 40, from Millville were charged April 19 with simple assault and obstruction respectively, during an investigation at the Dennisville Recreation Center. Creamer admittedly punched her ex-son-in-law in the face during an argument. Gheysens Jr., son of Creamer, attempted to obstruct the investigation and was also arrested. A temporary restraining order was issued by the victim against Creamer. Both were processed and released.
Carl Moore, 27, from North Wildwood was charged April 19 with simple assault (domestic violence) for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and causing visible signs of injury. He was arrested, processed and released.
George Flanagan, 32, from Eldora was charged April 21 with hindering apprehension for providing false information as to his lawful identity while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township to avoid apprehension for active warrants. Subject initially gave his brother’s information and was arrested when a warrant was found under his brother’s name. Later investigation revealed his true identity and two warrants were then found active for him. He was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
Linda Roman, 32, from Wildwood, and Jacob Battistella, 23, from Millville were charged April 23 with criminal mischief for damage caused to the residence of Roman’s ex-boyfriend. Battistella admitted to helping Roman try to gain entry to the residence by breaking the front door knob with a hammer. Both were arrested and processed. Battistella was released. An active warrant was found for Roman. She was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
Deborah Romanik, 63, from Mays Landing was charged April 27 with shoplifting goods from a Marmora grocery store. Video surveillance showed that an electronic shopping cart being driven by another subject to whom Romanik advised had a “mental disability” and to whom she was the legal guardian to, was being used to put the shoplifted goods into. Romanik was charged with shoplifting and endangering the welfare of an incompetent person, was processed and released.
Ryan Maranda, 18, from Commercial Twp., Dana Maranda, 22, from Millville, and Alexa James, 24, from Court House were charged April 27 with possession of narcotic paraphernalia and hypodermic needles during an investigation in Woodbine. Ryan Maranda and Dana Maranda were processed and released. James was found to have two active warrants and lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
Jermaine Russell, 27, from Woodbine was charged April 28 with DWI and distribution and possession of prescription legend drugs for possessing numerous pills while on a motor vehicle stop in Woodbine. A passenger in his vehicle, Saquan Moore, 27, from Woodbine was found to have a warrant active for him and was also a wanted person for child support non-payment. Both were processed and lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
James Jenkins, 34, from Millville was charged May 2 with burglary, theft, possession of crack cocaine, and paraphernalia for breaking into an Upper Township campground and stealing money. Jenkins, who is the son of the victim, was seen on video surveillance committing the crime. He was located and arrested. During this time, suspected crack cocaine and syringes were found. He was processed and lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
Noah Platt, 18, from Belleplain was charged May 3 with conspiracy to commit fencing, fencing, and receiving stolen property for his part in burglaries occurring in the Woodbine Station area. He was processed and released.
Russell Foulke, 41, from Mays Landing was charged May 3 with writing a bad check to the Dennisville Fence Company on April 8. This date he was located, processed and lodged in jail.
Jared Weygand, 21, from Belleplain was charged May 3 with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and unlawful weapon (stun gun) during a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. He was processed and released.
Keith McGowan, 30, from Dennisville was charged May 5 with theft and fencing for admittedly stealing and then pawning a generator valued at $600 from the owner of a residence that he was renting a room from. He was processed and released.
David Coach, 28, from Seaville was charged May 8 with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. He was processed and released.
Melissa Merritt, 41, from Ocean City was charged May 9 with DWI (refusal), assault by auto (minor injury during motor vehicle accident), contempt, and endangering the welfare of a child during the investigation into two separate accidents she was a part of in Upper Township while her 13-year-old daughter was in the vehicle. She was also issued numerous traffic summonses for reckless driving, driving while suspended, and failure to report. She was also found to have a warrant active for her. She was processed and lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center.
Christopher Wells, 31, from Bayville was charged May 10 with shoplifting seafood from a Marmora grocery store in April 2016. He was located through New Jersey State Police’s Facebook page after initial attempts to identify him were negative. He turned himself in, was processed and released.
Michael Morris, 48, from Court House was charged May 13 with DWI and possession of marijuana during a suspicious person investigation (sleeping in a vehicle while running) at a Dennisville convenience store. He was processed and released.
Talih Lampkin, 31, from Atlantic City was charged May 15 with DWI and possession of cocaine while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. She was processed and released.
Mark and Daniel Brunk, 57 and 31 respectively, father and son, from Woodbine were both charged May 17 with simple assault (domestic violence) for engaging in a fight with one another at their residence. Both were arrested, processed and released.
Brittney Scheuerman, 20, and Brendon Patitucci, 21, both from Dennisville were charged May 17 with possession of marijuana while investigating a suspicious vehicle in Dennis Township. Both were arrested, processed and released.
