Woodbine State Police Release Arrest and Activities Report, Nov. 1 – Nov. 22

WOODBINE – Woodbine State Police is asking for the public’s help regarding the recent thefts of several commercial air conditioner units stolen from three businesses in Upper Township. These thefts have occurred during the late night or early morning. Anyone with information please call the Woodbine State Police Criminal Investigation Office at 609 -861-5698.
Arrests: The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
– Mary Betts from Woodbine, was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with burglary and theft for stealing a credit card and cash from her grandfather’s truck while it was parked at his residence. She subsequently used the stolen credit card for several purchases at local stores.
– Matthew Fix from Erma, was arrested Nov. 8 for possession of CDS (marijuana) by Trooper’s Kenan White and Chris Warwick after the troopers came into contact with him during a property check of Jakes Landing Rd. in Dennis Twp. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of the marijuana in the vehicle. He was processed and released.
– Russell White from Crown City, Ind., was arrested Nov. 11 by Trooper’s Ryan Gillespie and Kyle Morley for possession of CDS (small amount of marijuana) while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township.
– Athena Mallous from Court House and Chester Craver from Woodbine, were arrested Nov. 11 by Trooper’s Mark Wettengel and Kyle Danter for possession of CDS (small amount of marijuana) while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township. They were processed and released.
– James Lilly from Dorchester, N.J., was arrested Nov. 12 by Tropper Mike Cresci for possession of CDS (small amount of marijuana) and paraphernalia (marijuana pipe) while on a motor vehicle stop in Woodbine. He was processed and released.
– Tiffany Baez of Smithville, N.J., was arrested Nov. 13 by Tropper Gateion Canonico for possession of CDS (small amount of marijuana) while on a motor vehicle stop in Upper Township. She was processed and released.
– Francis McTaggart, Jr. from Court House, was arrested Nov. 15 by Troopers Ryan Gillespie and Kyle Morley for possession of CDS (small amount of marijuana), drug paraphernalia (glass smoking pipe) and a prohibited weapon (homemade “Billy Club” while on a motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township.
– William Crabill from Seaville, was arrested Nov. 15 and charged with simple assault (domestic violence) for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend by striking her in the face during an argument. Incident occurred at girlfriend’s residence in Upper Township where they both reside.
– Angel Santiago from Wildwood and Charles Williams from Woodbine, were arrested Nov. 15 by Sgt. Roy Cartwright and Sgt. Bill Fisher for possession of CDS (heroin and marijuana) and distribution of CDS (heroin). Both Cartwright and Fisher were assigned to bicycle patrol and while patrolling Woodbine came into contact with a subject, Santiago, which led to his arrest for possession of heroin (approx. 1,250 wax folds). Their subsequent investigation continued at a residence in Woodbine he had just exited. Their investigation led to the arrest of the resident there, Williams, for distribution of CDS. $5,000 was subsequently recovered along with a small amount of marijuana. Both subjects were processed and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
