COURT HOUSE – On April 23 at 9:59 p.m., Middle Township Police received a call of a strong arm robbery where the accused was being followed by the victim.
Upon police arrival, the victim and caller stated that the accused ran behind what was formally the Court House Market on Mechanic Street.
Ptl. James D’Alonzo, Investigator Mark Higginbottom and Sgt. Pat Conte quickly apprehended the accused, Lamond Walker 20, of Wildwood who had a large steak knife in his pocket.
The witness pointed out where the accused threw a large sum of money which was taken from the victim. A quantity of imitation CDS (cocaine) was also found near the accused.
The victim, Katelyn M. Pulaski, 20, reported that she gave the accused a ride and that when she dropped him off on Goshen Road in CMCH, he pushed her and took over five hundred dollars from her before running off.
The victim gave chase and flagged down a motorist who called police and followed the accused.
During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Pulaski was attempting to purchase CDS (cocaine) from the accused.
The accused delivered imitation drugs to her and snatched the victim’s money. Walker was charged with Robbery with a weapon 1st degree, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes 3rd degree, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, and Intent to distribute Imitation CDS 3rd degree.
He was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $100,000. bail set by JMC David DeWeese. Pulaski was charged with loitering with the intent to purchase CDS (cocaine) a disorderly persons offense.
The complainant was placed on a summons and released on her own recognizance.
