Woman in Wildwood Beach Arrest Sues City, Officers

WILDWOOD – A Philadelphia woman who was seen on video being punched by Wildwood police officers in 2018 is suing the city and the officers who arrested her, according to media reports.
Emily Weinman, 20, filed the lawsuit in federal court in New Jersey Oct. 15.
The suit alleges the officers “brutally and senselessly assaulted” Weinman, and then falsely claimed she kicked them to ensure an indictment, according to NJ.com. 
Weinman pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct Feb. 15, and was sentenced to one year probation.
