Woman in Wildwood Beach Arrest Accepts Plea Deal

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announced a guilty plea Feb. 15 in the Emily R. Weinman investigation.
Weinman was arrested May 26, 2018, for assaulting two Wildwood police officers and later indicted Sept. 18, 2018, by a Cape May County Grand Jury.
Sutherland stated earlier Feb. 15 Weinman pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, a disorderly persons offense, and was sentenced to one year probation.

COURT HOUSE – The Philadelphia woman whose arrest on a Wildwood beach over Memorial Day Weekend in 2018 resulted in a video that went viral has accepted a plea deal, according to media reports.
Emily Weinman will serve one year of probation for disorderly conduct and must stay out of Wildwood during the probation period.
Weinman was indicted Sept. 18, 2018 on two counts of fourth-degree aggravated assault on police officers, one count of throwing bodily fluids, third degree, one fourth-degree count for hindering apprehension and a final third-degree count for resisting arrest.
She previously rejected a plea agreement in Cape May County Superior Court July 26, 2018.
