Woman Arrested for Alleged Drug Use in Convenience Store

NORTH CAPE MAY – Lower Township Police Department received a report of a female patron that was alleged to be actively using a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a convenience store located on the 3700 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May Aug. 17.
Upon arrival, members of the Lower Township Police Department located the patron who was identified as Alisha J. Stevenson, 21, who resides in the 700 block of Sheppard Avenue in North Cape May. An investigation was conducted by Officer Corey Scheid and Officer Shawn Lafferty and as a result, Stevenson was arrested for using CDS in the restroom of the convenience store.
Stevenson was transported to the Lower Township Police Department where she was charged with being under the influence of a narcotic drug, possession of CDS, and possession of a hypodermic syringe. At the completion of processing, Stevenson was released on a summons complaint.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
