WILDWOOD — The Wildwood police received a call at 9:12 p.m. on Fri., July 15 that a female victim was being criminally restrained against her will at knife point.
When police officers arrived at 135 E. Davis Ave., they found the suspect wielding a knife at the victim. Officers ordered the suspect to the ground at gunpoint. Police took the knife and the suspect was arrested.
The suspect has been identified as Jonathan Ramos-Ocasio, a 24-year-old laborer from Wildwood. He was charged with criminal restraint, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess weapons. Judge Robertson set bail for these charges in the amount of $35,000 full cash as well as no contact with the victim.
During a follow-up investigation an additional charge of aggravated sexual contact was issued against Ramos-Ocasio. Superior Court Judge Porto set bail for this charge at $250,000 full bail cash as well as no contact with the victim.
