WILDWOOD – On May 7 members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division and the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division conducted an investigation into child pornographic photographs that were discovered at 402 East Magnolia Avenue.
Investigation into this matter led to the recovery of hundreds of child pornographic images at 402 East Magnolia Avenue and 119 West Roberts Avenue.
James F. Shanahan, a 46 year-old security officer, resides at 119 West Roberts Avenue. He was found to be the owner of this material.
Mr. Shanahan was arrested on May 8 at his residence without incident. Mr. Shanahan was charged with endangering the welfare of children, a crime of the fourth degree.
The Honorable Judge David DeWeese JMC set bail at $15,000 cash/bond no ten percent.
Mr. Shanahan could not post the required bail, and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center. Investigation into this matter is ongoing.
