WILDWOOD – Wildwood police officers responded to 991 calls for service Memorial Day weekend, May 21 – 25.
Included in that number were 10 calls for simple assault, six calls for aggravated assault, one call for burglary, 12 calls for theft, and 351 calls reporting disturbances.
Police conducted 10 drug investigations, responded to 25 calls reporting suspicious persons and 13 calls reporting suspicious vehicles.
Officers responded to six fire alarms and 32 calls for medical assistance. Police made 200 motor vehicle stops, responded to 26 motor vehicle accidents and responded to two calls for driving while intoxicated.
Members of the Wildwood Police Department arrested 186 adults and 59 juveniles during the four-day period.
