WILDWOOD- On October 25th at approximately 10:10 a.m, Officers from the Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division responded to 428 West Andrews Avenue on a report of a burglary and theft that had just occurred.
While officers were en route to the location of the crime, a physical description, as well as a clothing description of the perpetrator was broadcast by a Wildwood Police Department Communications Officer to the officers responding to the crime scene.
Officers located and detained a subject matching the description of the perpetrator in the 300 block of West Taylor Avenue.
The male who was being detained was positively identified by the victims as being the person they had seen leaving their residence and entering a motor vehicle that was parked in front, and then exiting the vehicle and fleeing the area on foot.
Subsequent investigation of the motor vehicle by members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division and Wildwood Police Department Detective Division, found that the van contained various items belonging to the victims that were valued in excess of $3,500.
These items had been removed from the residence at 428 West Andrews Avenue. Forced entry was found to have been made to the premises through a rear door at 428 West Andrews Avenue.
The perpetrator was identified as Felix Rosario, a forty one year-old self employed construction worker, who resides at 224 East Rio Grande Avenue in the City of Wildwood.
Felix Rosario was charged with burglary and theft. The Honorable Judge David DeWeese set bail for Mr. Rosario at $25,000 cash or bond and no ten percent. Mr. Rosarlo could not post the required bail, and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
