Wildwood Police Monthly Activity

WILDWOOD – City police responded to 4,825 calls during the month of August. Included in that number are calls for 96 car accidents; 124 thefts; 28 burglaries; four fires; 25 simple assaults; 11 aggravated assaults; 99 drug investigations; eight DWIs; 181 medical assists; three motor vehicle thefts; 528 motor vehicle stops; 423 disturbances;17 domestic disturbances; 222 suspicious persons; and 63 suspicious vehicles. There were 277 adult arrests and 31 juvenile arrests.
In September, police responded to 3,985 calls. That number included: 52 car accidents; 60 thefts; 17 burglaries; six fires; 16 simple assaults; five aggravated assaults; 39 drug investigations; nine DWIs; 159 medical assists; two motor vehicle thefts; 418 motor vehicle stops; 284 disturbances; 12 domestic disturbances; 96 suspicious persons; and 53 suspicious vehicles. There were 172 adult arrests and 12 juvenile arrests.
