Wildwood Police Make Drug and Weapons Arrest

WILDWOOD- Officers from Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division responded to 115 E. Rio Grande Ave. Apt. B, after receiving information that a missing juvenile from Lower Township may be at that location Oct. 2.
On scene officers observed through a window two black males, later identified as Markel T. Benson, 18, and Denzeel A. Turner, 19, packaging CDS into baggies. Further investigation also led to the recovery of a .38 caliber revolver. As a result of the investigation, both accused were charged with the following offenses:
Possession of CDS crack cocaine, possession of CDS crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of CDS crack cocaine with intent to distribute within 500 feet of certain public property, possession of COS marijuana, possession of CDS marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 500 feet of certain public property, possession of CDS Suboxone, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a handgun.
Judge Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrant set bail at $50,000 full cash for Turner, and $120,000 full cash for Benson. Both accused were lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of posting the required bail.
The missing juvenile was not located at the residence.
