WILDWOOD — On June 29 at 8:15 p.m., Wildvvood police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 200 block of West Bennett Avenue.
While responding to the call, further information was given that the perpetrator was a Caucasian male with a shaved head., wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, and that he was being followed by a neighbor.
The suspect was stopped by officers and the neighbor in the 100 block of West Hand Avenue. He was identified as Robert A. McBride, 39, of Wildwood.
Neighbors had heard the sound of breaking glass, and had observed McBride exiting the burglarized property through a window.
Further investigation by Wildwood detectives linked McBride to the burglary and theft, and police found stolen property in his possession.
Robert McBride was charged with burglary and theft. He was lodged in county jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail set by Judge David DeWeese.
