WILDWOOD- Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division, responded to the 100 East Block of Hand Avenue located in the City of Wildwood, after receiving information pertaining to active narcotics activity from a motor vehicle on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Upon arrival, two individuals were detained in connection to the investigation. These individuals were identified as Harold Perez-Heredia, 22, unemployed, hispanic male residing in Wildwood and Jason Morell-Morales, 26, unemployed, hispanic male also residing in Wildwood.
During the ensuing investigation, distribution quantities of heroin and cocaine were seized, the narcotics were prepackaged for street level re-sale/distribution. The seizure consisted of 180 individual bags of heroin and 16 bags of rock and powder form cocaine. Additionally, confiscated in connection to the investigation was $4,200 dollars, which was identified as proceeds of the illicit sales of narcotics. The following is a list of criminal charges, which were filed against the defendants in connection to the street level sales of narcotics:
Accordingly, Perez-Heredia and Morell-Morales were charged with possession of cocaine (crime of the third degree) possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (crime of the third degree) possession of heroin (crime of the third degree) possession of heroin with intent to distribute (crime of the third degree) and possession of narcotics paraphernalia (disorderly persons offense).
Judge Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrabt judge of the Wildwood Municipal Court set bail at $60,000 full cash for both defendants. Perez-Heredia and Morell-Morales were unable to post bail and they were incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
