WILDWOOD– On Saturday July 17, at 9:37 PM the Wildwood Police Department received numerous 911 calls for a reported large fight at the Ship-n-Shore Bar located at 434 West Montgomery Avenue.
The initial officers to arrive at the scene reported a large group of approximately thirty persons actively engaged in fighting with a larger group of persons watching in the area around the fight. The first officers at the scene immediately requested additional officers to respond from other locations and assignments within the city of Wildwood. Additional officers were also requested to respond to the scene from North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest to assist Wildwood officers.
As a result of the fight nine persons were arrested and charged as follows:
George CHECKUM of Phila, Pa„ 29 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of S2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese
Michael FOX of Cherry Hill, NJ, 46 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese
Brian FOX of Cherry Hill, NJ, 20 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese. Brian Fox was also charged with being a Minor Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Nancy FOX of Cherry Hill, NJ, 46 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese
Michael LYONS of Phila, Pa., 42 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese
Jose A. DONAS of Phila, Pa„ 46 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May CountyJail in lieu of $2,500 bail set by Wildwood Municipal Judge David DeWeese
Kevin FOX of Cherry Hill, NJ, 23 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a Summons complaint and was released.
Joanne FOX of Phila. Pa., 40 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a Summons complaint and was released.
James J. THOMPSON of Phila„ Pa., 30 years old, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Rioting, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of the Administration of Justice, on a Summons complaint and was released.
Investigation continues as additional charges maybe pending regarding the Ship-n-Shore Bar and possible Alcohol Beverage Control violations.
