Wildwood Police Arrest Grocery Store Burglary Suspect

Wildwood – Officers from the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division responded to a call of a burglary in progress at Reina Brian Grocery Store on New Jersey Avenue in Wildwood Feb. 16 at approximately 3:25 a.m.
During the ensuing investigation, officers who responded located an individual inside the premise. This individual was arrested in connection to the burglary of the grocery store.
The defendant was identified as Jorge Sierra, 39, of Wildwood. Sierra was charged with burglary, a crime of the third degree and theft, a disorderly persons offense.
Judge Dorothy Garrabrant of the Wildwood Municipal Court set bail at $50,000 cash, no ten percent. Sierra could not post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center. Additional charges are pending in connection to this investigation.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
