Wildwood Man Sentenced to 50 years for Fatal Baseball Bat Beating

COURTHOUSE- Alberto Martinez, 32 has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for beating a college student to death with a baseball bat in Wildwood in 2010 attack. Martinez claimed that he thought the teen was laughing at him.
Of Martinez’s sentence, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor told the Herald, “We are pleased with the sentence. It will result in 42 and a quarter years in New Jersey state prison without parole, pursuant to New Jersey’s ‘No Early Release Act.’”
