Wildwood Man Injured in Burleigh Shooting

BURLEIGH – Middle Township Police Department responded to Chestnut Avenue in Burleigh for a reported shooting May 23 at 3:24 a.m.
While patrol units were responding to the area they were advised the victim, Corleon Riley, 26, of Wildwood, had been shot in the chest and was at Cape Regional Medical Center receiving treatment. Officers from the New Jersey State Police, North Wildwood Police and Lower Township Police responded to the scene to assist with the initial response.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office along with the Middle Township Major Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting.
