Wildwood Man Convicted of Aggravated Assault, Theft

COURT HOUSE – On May 2, a Cape May County jury convicted a Wildwood man of aggravated assault and theft from a person, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announced.
According to a release, on Feb. 23, 2017, Ronray Harris, 40, from Wildwood, stabbed another individual and committed a theft at the Wildwood Bus Terminal. A joint investigation was conducted by members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
Judge Sarah Beth Johnson presided over the matter and sentencing is scheduled for June 15. Due to the charges and Harris’ criminal history, he faces a maximum of 20 years in New Jersey State Prison with an 85 percent parole disqualifier.
Sutherland recognized the investigative efforts of the officers and detectives involved in the investigation, along with Assistant Prosecutor Alex Settle, who prosecuted the case.
