By Herald Staff

WILDWOOD CREST – On Tuesday April 6, Wildwood Crest Police were called to a Monterey Ave. address on a reported domestic violence incident.
Upon arrival Cpl. Richard D’Amico and P/O Joe McKenna discovered the female victim (name withheld) and her 8 week-old child had been threatened.
Prior to police arrival it was discovered that Saturnino Nunez had been in an argument with the female while she was holding her child.
Nunez retrieved a large knife from the kitchen and threatened to kill the female and her child if she attempted to contact the police.
The victim was able to lock herself in a bedroom with her child and call 9-1-1. Cpl. D’Amico took Nunez in to custody without incident.
Det. Edward Gorski of the Wildwood Crest Police Domestic Violence Unit assisted in the investigation. A temporary restraining order between the parties was obtained. The knife was located at the scene and secured as evidence.
Judge Louis Belasco Jr. granted the T.R.O. and set bail at $30,000.00.
Nunez was incarcerated at the C.M.C.C.C. in default of the bail.
No one was injured during the incident.
