By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police were called to a residence on Sweetbriar Rd. for an unconscious, unresponsive male Aug. 26 at 5 p.m.
Frederick O’Brien III, 30, was being administered CPR by his wife until police and Wildwood Crest Rescue took over. Wildwood Crest Rescue administered a dose of Narcan to O’Brien and he was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center.
Detective Sgt. Ed Gorski continued the investigation which led to the findings of a two-year-old child that was present in the home when the event took place. The Division of Child Protection and Permanency responded and eventually took custody of the child.
O’Brien, who is expected to recover, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree crime. Bail was set at $75,000. The child was not harmed.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
