VILLAS — It was about 5:50 p.m. on Aug. 31 when Lower Township police were summoned to the 200 block Cloverdale Avenue in Bayside Village for a report of a domestic dispute in progress.
When Patrolman C.J. Ryan arrived, a 38-year-old female and her 18-year-old son approached him. Both were “highly agitated and yelling in Spanish at the officer,” according to a release.
The officer saw that the female had several lacerations to her wrist.
When police investigated, they determined, and her son reiterated, that her husband, Michael A. Allen, 50, allegedly slashed her with a knife.
She refused medical treatment or a temporary restraining order.
Allen was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and remanded to county jail on a warrant with bail set at $25,000 cash.
Ryan investigated the incident.
