RIO GRANDE- The Middle Township Police Department was dispatched to the Gulf Station in Rio Grande for a report of a subject pointing a handgun at another person Nov. 22 at 10:30 p.m. Patrolman Armondo Jones was the first Officer on scene and identified the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect was not cooperative, and struggled with Patrolman Jones. The suspect who was later identified as Justin Williams, 23, of Whitesboro, was arrested by Patrolman Jones and Patrolman Matthew Lamanteer. A handgun and a small amount of marijuana was retrieved from Williams.
Williams was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated assault, and possession of marijuana. He was held in Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.
