COURT HOUSE — West Wildwood Mayor Herbert Frederick and Commissioner Gerard McNamara have decided to leave their fates as public officials up to borough voters, rather than continuing to fight the recall attempts against them in court, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
The two have been battling since they were elected in May 2008 with separate recall committees that collected signatures from voters to have them removed from office.
In February, the court blocked a scheduled recall election of Frederick because its planning was flawed.
A date for the recall election is expected to be picked within the next few days.
