Warrant Arrests, Domestic Disputes, Accidents Keep Lower Police Busy

ERMA — During the week of April 13-19, Lower Township police responded to and/or initiated 764 calls for service averaging over 109 calls per day.
April 13:
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:59 a.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Weber Avenue, Villas; officers were advised that two subjects got into a fight and got progressively bigger, subjects were sent on their way, no complaints signed.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 2:48 a.m. in the 200 block of Spruce Avenue, Villas; upon officer’s arrival there were two house guests that got into a verbal argument over several items. Subjects handled the problem themselves, no complaints signed.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:58 p.m. in the first block of Widgeon Way, North Cape May; upon officer’s arrival there were two family members having a verbal argument which they settled themselves, no complaints signed.
Domestic violence complaint received at 2 p.m. in the 300 block of Pine Lane, Erma; report of harassment by the ex-spouse, Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no criminal complaints signed and no request for a temporary restraining order.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 3:09 p.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May; upon officer’s arrival the owner was having a problem with a group of men, they were moved on, no complaints signed.
Report of criminal mischief received at 5:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Old Mill Drive, North Cape May, victim reported damage to her fence by juveniles climbing on it. The juveniles and their parents were spoken to, and it will not happen again, no complaints signed.
Report of harassment received at 8:18 p.m. in the first block of Oak Avenue, Villas. The reporting party was receiving harassing phone calls from unknown subject. No complaints, investigation continues.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 8:21 p.m. in the area of Fay Avenue and Erma Lane, Erma. Officers were advised that there was a group of juveniles hanging around the area, they were gone upon arrival, no complaints.
Domestic violence complaint received at 11:51 p.m. in the 1600 block of Star Avenue, Villas. Victim stated her boyfriend was fighting with her, no complaints were signed. Subject was served with a temporary restraining order which was granted by Judge David DeWeese. Actor was served and taken to a friend’s house.
April 14:
Report of disorderly conduct received at 8:38 a.m. in the 600 block of Route 9, Erma. Officer was advised that there were two subjects who got into a mutually entered altercation; complaints were signed against both subjects.
Report of criminal mischief received at 8:40 a.m. in the first block of Harvest Court, Cold Spring. Victim reported damage done to their wiring, investigation continues.
Report of criminal mischief received at 1:09 p.m. in the 200 block of Broadway Avenue, Villas. Victim reported damage done to a rear window on his vehicle as a rock was thrown through it, that happened during the night. investigation continues.
Report of a motor vehicle accident received at 3:39 p.m. in the area of Shunpike Road and Sheridan Blvd., Erma; police was advised a police vehicle was involved; investigation shows that a vehicle went through a stop sign causing the collision with the police vehicle, a summons was issued to the driver for failure to stop or yield at the stop sign.
Report of trespassing received at 4:36 p.m. in the first block of East Miami Avenue, Villas, report of juveniles trespassing on property. Upon police arrival, juveniles were advised not to be on other peoples’ property, they were moved on, no complaints.
Report of a warrant arrest at 5:54 p.m. in the first block of Delaware Avenue, Villas. Subject was placed under arrest for a warrant out Cape May County Probation; subject was transported to the county jail.
Report of an arson received at 8:32 p.m. in the first block of East Bates Avenue, Villas. Upon officer’s arrival there was a boat on fire, the investigation revealed that it was suspicious but cause was undetermined, investigation continues.
Report of a warrant arrest at 10:22 p.m. in the 100 block of Holmes Avenue, North Cape May. Subject was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Wildwood. Subject was processed and transported to the county jail.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 10:32 p.m. in the first block of Vermont Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised of a lot of people in the street. Officer stated it was a large party and they went inside residence, no complaints.
Report of a warrant arrest at 11:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Holmes Avenue, North Cape May. Subject was placed under arrest for multiple warrants out of Camden County Sheriffs Department, Lower Township, Cherry Hill, Willingboro, Wildwood, and six out of Middle Township. Subject was processed and transported county jail.
April 15:
Report of criminal mischief received at 6:19 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Victim reported someone spray painted graffiti all over the bathroom wall, investigation continues.
Report of theft received at 7:46 a.m. in the 200 block of East Virginia Avenue, Villas. Victim stated that someone stole items from her car the prior night, investigation continues.
Report of theft received at 8:18 a.m. in the 200 block of Matthews Avenue, Villas. Victim stated that someone stole items from her car last night, investigation continues.
Report of harassment received at 10:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Woodland Avenue, Villas, subject states he is being harassed and he signed complaints against the actor.
Domestic violence complaint received at 12:21 p.m. in the 800 block of West Rio Grande Avenue, Shawcrest. Victim stated he is receiving harassing phone calls from his
ex-wife, Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no criminal complaints signed and no request for a temporary restraining order at this time.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:41 p.m. in the first block of Maple Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there was a verbal argument between two family members and they worked out differences themselves, no complaints.
Report of harassment received at 12:57 p.m. in the 200 block of Fishing Creek Road, Fishing Creek. Subject stated he was being harassed by several other people, no complaints.
Report of criminal mischief received at 1:19 p.m. in the 1200 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Victim reported damage done to a window on his building as a rock was thrown through it, this happened during the night, investigation continues.
Report of criminal mischief received at 4:02 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Victim reported someone spray painted graffiti all over the bathroom wall which happened just after several juveniles left the bathroom. Officers located the juveniles and they were advised they are not allowed back in the store, the graffiti was washed off, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 4:38 p.m. in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there was a verbal argument between two subjects in the street, subjects were gone upon arrival, no complaints at this time.
Report of harassment received at 5:05 p.m. in the 100 block of Roseanne Avenue, North Cape May. Subject stateed a neighbor was harassing him, no complaints.
Report of harassment received at 5:24 p.m. in the 500 block of Seashore Road, Erma. Subject stateed she was receiving harassing phone calls over her cell phone, actor was advised not to have contact with the victim or complaints will be signed, no complaints at this time.
April 16:
Report of an assault received at 7:28 a.m. in the 9900 block of Sea Pointe Boulevard, Diamond Beach. Two subjects were fighting, victim was given his options and he did not want to sign a complaint, no complaints at this time.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 10:35 a.m. in the 500 block of Desoto Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there was a verbal argument between two family members, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:14 p.m. in the 200 block of Marshall Avenue, Fishing Creek. Officers were advised that there was a verbal argument between two family members, upon officers arrival the subjects worked out differences themselves, no complaints.
Report of harassment received at 5:13 p.m. in the 100 block of Bentz Avenue, Villas. Subject stated she was being harassed by another female; officer spoke to both subjects and they will stay away from each other, no complaints.
Report of theft received at 5:54 p.m. in the 900 block of Seashore Road, Erma. Report of a subject’s pocket book stolen, investigation continues.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 6:28 p.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Wildwood Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there was a verbal argument between two subjects in the street, turned out to be a misunderstanding, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 7:16 p.m. in the 300 block of Miami Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there were dirt bikes racing up and down the street, upon officers arrival they were gone, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 9:04 p.m. in the 1900 block of Vermont Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised of a lot of juveniles loitering in the parking lot; upon officers’ arrival they were gone, no complaints.
Report of harassment received at 10:17 p.m. in the 500 block of Indian Avenue, North Cape May. Subject stated she was receiving harassing phone calls over her cell phone, no complaints at this time.
April 17, 2008:
Report of theft received at 1:40 a.m. in the first block of West Delaware Parkway, Villas. Victim said that someone stole several items from his car, investigation continues.
Report of a search warrant service at 7:57 a.m. in the first block of Fulling Mill Road, Villas. Lower Township Police assisted the Cape May County Prosecutors Office with service of a search warrant and a arrest warrant, subject was processed and transported to county jail.
Report of criminal mischief received at 8:47 a.m. in the 200 block of Franklin Avenue, Villas. Victim reported damage done to his dashboard in his vehicle, investigation continues.
Report of theft received at 10:56 a.m. in the 600 block of Route 9, Erma. Victim said that someone stole his cell phone, investigation continues.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:26 p.m. in the 600 block of Route 9, Erma. Report of a subject being disruptive, this matter was taken care of by the responding officer, no complaints.
Report of trespassing received at 5:02 p.m. in the 100 block of West Bates Avenue, Villas. Report of juveniles trespassing on the property, upon police arrival the juveniles were gone, no complaints.
Report of theft received at 8:04 p.m. in the 500 block of Town Bank Road, North Cape May. Victim said that someone stole his bicycle and parts to his moped sometime during last night, investigation continues.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 9:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Officers were advised that there are two subjects in a verbal argument in the middle of the street, upon officers arrival one of the subjects left and the other was turned over to a family member, as she was intoxicated. No complaints.
April 18:
Report of a motor vehicle accident received at 12:48 a.m. in the 600 block of Seashore Road, Erma. This was a single car accident where the vehicle rolled over and the driver was taken to the hospital. Driver was charged with driving while intoxicated, and was issued a summons with a court date.
Domestic violence complaint received at 8:38 a.m. in the 200 block of Willow Drive, North Cape May. Report of a disturbance in the street, which was a verbal argument between two family members. Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no criminal complaints signed and no request for a temporary restraining order at this time.
Domestic violence complaint received at 8:41 a.m. in the 200 block of Oakdale Avenue, Villas. Report of a couple fighting in the street, charges were filed by the officer for criminal mischief and the subject was arrested. He was processed and released on a summons with a court date, Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no request for a temporary restraining order at this time.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 9:16 a.m. in the 200 block of Willow Drive, North Cape May. Report of a verbal argument between two family members, they will work it out themselves, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 10:02 a.m. in the 200 block of Oakdale Avenue, Villas. Report of a male acting out and being disruptive, subject transported to Cape Regional Medical Center to be checked out, no complaints.
Report of a shoplifter received at 1:07 p.m. in the 3800 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Juvenile was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Subject was released to her mother with a court date.
Report of a theft received at 3:19 p.m. in the 100 block of Village Road, Villas. Reporting party stated money was taken out of her bank account by unknown person, investigation continues.
Report of harassment received at 5:13 p.m. in the 200 block of Ludlum Drive, Erma. Subject stated a neighbor was harassing him over children making fun of each other, no complaints.
Report of a burglary received at 8:48 p.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue, Villas. Subjects went under the victim’s residence and stole copper water pipes by cutting them, investigation continues.

Report of a warrant arrest at 11:47 p.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Bay Wood Drive, North Cape May. Subject was placed under arrest for a warrant out North Wildwood after a motor vehicle stop, subject was also charged with providing false information to a police officer, subject was processed and released on bail for warrant and given a summons for providing false information to a police officer with a court date.
April 19:
Report of disorderly conduct received at 12:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue, Villas. Officers were advised that there were two subjects fighting in the street, fight was broken up and subjects sent on way. No complaints.
Report of a drunk driver at 1:50 a.m. in the area of Bayshore Road and Charles Street, Villas. Subject arrested and charges were filed.
Report of harassment received at 12:18 p.m. in the 1300 block of Langley Road, Erma. Subject stated he was receiving harassing phone calls, no complaints.
Report of disorderly conduct received at 5:19 p.m. in the 900 block of Schellenger Landing Road, Cold Spring. Officers were advised that there was subject engaged in a verbal confrontation with an employee, subject was sent on his way and advised he is not to return to that location again, no complaints.
Domestic violence complaint received at 7:01 p.m. in the 300 block of Park Lane, Erma. Report of a disturbance between a couple, which was a verbal argument, Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no criminal complaints signed and no request for a temporary restraining order.
Report of harassment received at 8:54 p.m. in the 700 block of Gorham Avenue, North Cape May. Subject stated his daughter was receiving harassing phone calls, both parties were spoken to and the actor was advised to stop calling, no complaints.
Report of harassment received at 9:43 p.m. in the first block of Wakefield Place, North Cape May. Subject stated he was receiving harassing phone calls, investigation continues.
Report of a warrant arrest at 10:33 p.m. in the first block of Ohio Avenue, Villas. Subject was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Wildwood; subject was processed and released on bail.
Domestic violence complaint received at 10:53 p.m. in the 900 block of Whittier Avenue, North Cape May. Lower Township police received a 9-1-1 hang up, when officers arrived at the location there was a verbal argument, Domestic Violence Act rights were given, no criminal complaints signed and no request for a temporary restraining order at this time.
