RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department (MTPD) Street Crimes Unit arrested Kelvin Claudio, 27, of Rio Grande May 11. Claudio was observed driving in Rio Grande. Members of the MTPD Street Crimes Unit were familiar with Claudio, and knew he was a wanted person. Claudio was stopped and arrested for a warrant. Thirty-one bags of heroin, crack cocaine and a weapon were seized.
Claudio was charged with possession and intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a public park. He was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $70,000 cash bail.
