VINELAND — A Wildwood man was arrested by Vineland police on charges he broke into a vehicle outside and stole a global positioning system.
According to published reports, police received a call at 1:05 p.m. on Jan. 20 reporting a vehicle burglary in which a GPS unit was taken.
Police said the suspect, Juan G. Leon, 32, of Arctic Avenue in Wildwood, had the stolen GPS unit with him.
Leon was charged with burglary, theft and resisting arrest. He was held in Cumberland County Jail on $50,000 bail.
According to the state Department of Corrections, Leon previously served two stints in state prison — once from June 2003 to March 2007 and again from July 2007 to January 2008. He most recently spent time in South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton.
His previous incarcerations were on drug and forgery charges.
