Villas Man Punches Windows, Resists Arrest

VILLAS — A 23-year-old local resident was jailed Monday, March 23 after reportedly punching out windows and then allegedly became combative toward officers.
According to Lower Township police, at about 12:20 a.m., they received a call of a disorderly subject involved in a heated verbal dispute in the 300 block East Tampa Avenue.
The callers told police that Daniel Tomes, 23, who lives at a different location in the 300 block Tampa Avenue, was punching out windows at the residence.
When officers confronted Tomes, he reportedly became highly irate and belligerent toward the officers.
After being informed that he was under arrest for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, Tomes allegedly became combative against officers, physically resisted his arrest.
Tomes was placed in restraints before being placed into a police car.
Tomes was transported to Lower Township Police Department where he was charged with criminal mischief for breaking windows, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer.
He was remanded to county jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail set by Judge David DeWeese.
