VILLAS — Lower Township police arrested Joseph Salladino of Villas Tue., March 27 for the armed robbery of a local CVS.
According to a police report, Salladino, 34, was arrested in front of his Florida Avenue residence as he exited his vehicle.
The CVS, located at 1501 Bayshore Road here, was robbed at gunpoint around 9 a.m. Feb. 28. The robbery occurred after Salladino passed a note to the clerk announcing his demands and brandishing a handgun. Salladino obtained prescription drugs from the clerk and left the store.
Lower Township police detectives and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a month-long investigation, leading to the arrest of Salladino.
Salladino has been charged with robbery and certain person not to have weapon. He is being held in the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of $350,000 bail.
Lead detective in this investigation was Det. Don Vanaman of the Lower Township Police Department.
