Villas Man Arrested for Alleged Knife Assault

VILLAS – Lower Township police arrested a Villas man after he allegedly pulled a knife on a man while he and his girlfriend were walking a dog in the area of Bay and Sandalwood roads Dec. 8 at 10:20 p.m.
According to police, Timothy Donnelly, 25, of the 200 block of West Delaware Parkway was arrested after he and an unidentified female fled the area in a Buick Century. The pair was located and stopped by police after the male victim reported the incident.
When stopped, a silver knife, police baton and controlled dangerous substances were found among Donnelly’s possessions.
The suspect was arrested on scene. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of CDS and possession of a prohibited weapon. The female was not charged.
Donnelly was remanded to Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
