Vehicle Stop Leads to Heroin Seizure, Four Arrests

OCEAN CITY POLICE RELEASE:
OCEAN CITY — On March 5 at 9:45 p.m., Ocean City Patrolman Brain Teeney, of the Traffic Safety Unit, was operating radar on the Route 52 Causeway.
According to police, Teeney observed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit and conducted a motor vehicle stop on that vehicle at Shore Road in Somers Point.
Ocean City Patrolman Anthony Fearnhead and Somers Point police responded to assist the officer with the motor vehicle stop. The vehicle was occupied by the driver and three passengers.
During the investigation, officers determined that the subjects may be possession of drugs and requested a K-9 Unit to respond to the scene. The K-9 unit confirmed that the the vehicle and/or the occupants were in possession of drugs, which was found during a search.
Seized during the search of the vehicle were 110 packets of suspected heroin and several bags of suspected marijuana. The officers arrested all occupants of the vehicle. Below is a list of each individual’s charges.
1) Everett S. Miller, 21, Pleasantville, Bail $25,000 full cash
2) Tatiana L. Garcia-Gilliard, Age 18, Egg Harbor City, NJ – Bail $15,000
or 10%
3) Appollonio J. Martin, Age 19, Vineland, NJ – Released on Summons
4) Juvenile Male, Age 15, Pleasantville, NJ – Released to Guardian
INCIDENT: Possession/Distribution Heroin
