Updated Description Released on Cape May Point State Park Sexual Assault Suspect

ERMA– Lower Township police continue to investigate the July 1, attempted sexual assault of a 39 year-old woman at Cape May Point State Park.
Detectives used a sketch artist to attempt to obtain a sketch of the suspect. Additional descriptors were obtained but a full facial sketch could not be obtained according to statement released by police.
The suspect has a scar or birthmark on his upper right forehead near his hairline. His hair is brown in color, wavy with the hair covering his ears. Skin color is described to be fair with no excessive tanning. The suspect may possibly have blue eyes. His teeth are described to be straight and white.
The descriptors are in addition to the information released by police on July 1, which are listed below.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5’5” to 5’6” tall, with a thin build. Suspect was described as having a full head of brown wavy hair and was clean shaven.
The suspect was wearing red shorts and a white plain t-shirt at the time. The type of footwear worn by the suspect, if any, was not reported.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Lower Township Patrol Division and the Detective Division, with the assistance of the Cape May Police Department and NJ State Park Police.
