NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police arrested Mark Gibson Dec. 22, after information was gathered on his identity after a press release was published on Dec. 3 requesting assistance from the public on the identity of a burglary and theft suspect from surveillance photos.
The press release was published in local media outlets as well as on the North Wildwood Police Department’s Facebook page. Detectives received several tips directly from the public as well as Cape May County Crime Stoppers and through the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department tip411 system.
Gibson, 35, residing in North Wildwood, was charged with burglary and theft. He was released after posting bail.
The North Wildwood Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter and their continued support.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
