Police Seek Identity of Toy Drive Theft Suspect

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Department have charged a North Cape May woman who allegedly stole donated toys Dec. 18.
A surveillance image posted to the department’s Facebook page resulted in the arrest of Irene Burke, 65. Police arrested Burke at her residence and recovered over $600 worth of toys that were stolen from a collection bin for The Lunch With Lynch Foundation’s Christmas Toy Drive at the North Wildwood Acme.
Burke was charged with third-degree theft. 
The toys were returned to John Lynch by Detective Sgt. Adam McGraw and Detective Dan Schules.
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect who allegedly stole donated toys Dec. 18.
The toys were taken from a collection bin for The Lunch With Lynch Foundation’s Christmas Toy Drive at the North Wildwood Acme, according to a Facebook post on the department’s page.
The North Wildwood Police Officers Association donated $200 to the toy drive to help cover the loss of the theft.
