WILDWOOD – Police announce the arrest of Raekwon Cade, 18, of Middle Township in reference to a shooting incident that occurred in the City of Wildwood Jan. 30.
During the course of the joint investigation conducted by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wildwood Police Department into the shooting incident that occurred in the area of Spicer and Pacific Avenues Jan. 30, it was determined that Cade was responsible for the shooting of Kenneth Clarke.
Members of the Cape May County Prosecutors Office, Wildwood Police Department and the Middle Township Police Department were able to determine the whereabouts of Cade Jan. 31. Cade was subsequently arrested by officers of the aforementioned agencies without incident.
Cade was charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Cade was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $750,000 full cash bail.
Prosecutor Taylor, Chief Long and Chief Leusner recognize the efforts of the agencies involved to bring this investigation to a safe and successful conclusion.

The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
