SEA ISLE CITY – Matthew McPeak, 27, and Stephanie Wallington, 23, both of Philadelphia PA, were arrested for lewdness in the fourth degree.
Summer officers observed the arrested having sexual intercourse in the ocean off of 46th Street Beach as a crowd of onlookers formed just after 4:00 p.m. June 8. Both were taken into custody after they were directed out of the water. They were charged with lewdness, a fourth degree crime.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

A Philadelphia couple allegedly engaged in a scandalous act in the ocean at about 4 p.m. June 8 near 46th Street in Sea Isle City, according to a report on CBSPhilly.
A 27-year old man and 23-year-old woman from Philadelphia entered the water about thigh-deep and began to commit a sexual act usually reserved for the bedroom.
Police were eventually called to the scene and attempted to wave the couple in from the water. An eyewitness told CBSPhilly it took the female a long time to exit the water because she had difficulty tying up her bikini bottom.
Once the couple exited the water, the eyewitness said the couple was placed in handcuffs and taken off the beach.
According to the eyewitness, some families with kids left the beach after witnessing the lewd act.
Both have been charged with fourth degree lewdness.
