UPDATE: Last Suspect in Rio Grande Stabbing Surrenders

COURT HOUSE– On Feb. 20, Harry Angstadt turned himself into the Middle Township Police Department on the outstanding charges filed against him stemming from the stabbing of Alvin Fernandez on Jan. 26, in the Joe Canal’s Plaza, Rio Grande. He was the last of the three suspects to be apprehended regarding this investigation.
Bail was set at $75,000 cash by Judge George Neidig. Angstadt is currently incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
Also charged in the stabbing is Michael Urban, 22. Urban had recently been arrested in Delaware for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution located in Georgetown, Delaware. Upon his release from this institution, he will be extradited back to New Jersey to answer the charges brought forth against him.
Also charged was Alfred Wayne Mason, 18 years old of Green Creek. Mason was apprehended by the Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit on Feb. 09, and is currently incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
All three suspects are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon a crime in the second degree, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
